Ditch Plains is a well-known beach in Montauk, New York. Just like Montauk, Dich Plains is favored with great amenities for your entertainment and relaxation.

Ditch Plains beach is frequented by both local and foreign surfers every year. With its excellent conditions, Ditch Plains can greatly affect the way to enjoy this amazing activity. Surfing!!!

The wave quality is regional classic, the wave type is reef- rocky, the wave direction is right and its bottom is flat rock with sand. The normal wave length is 50 to 150 m/164 to 492 ft and on good days can reach up to 150 to 300 m/492 to 984 ft. Good swell direction is from south and its size starts working at less than 1 m/3 ft and holds up to 4 m+/12 ft. Now get ready to meet the challenge and swing your body in eastern best wind direction. For visitor’s safety, lifeguards are on duty from June to September.

The only drawback is that if you are not a resident, you won’t be able to park at the main parking lot, which is located a few steps away from the beach. The safest way to get to the beach is to purchase a sticker from the Town Hall or park your car in the village of Montauk and take a taxi to the beach.

As night falls, you can enjoy yourself by having a few pints in this exquisite spot.
