Antigua is one of the most luxury islands in Caribbean Sea. Antigua is the main island of the country of Antigua and Barbuda. It is situated in the east Caribbean Sea, in the middle of the Leeward Islands. The low annual rainfall is what makes Antigua one of the sunniest island in the eastern Caribbean.

Antigua is a Caribbean Island that provides a large variety of water sports. The temperatures are very good during all year round and range from 24˚C/75.2˚F in winter to 29˚C/84.2˚F in summer.

Green Island lies off the eastern side of Antigua, close to Nonsuch Bay. In the north coast of Green Island, there is a tiny, white sandy beach that is available for kite-surfing. It is not a crowded beach because Green Island is uninhabited. That means that the only way to get there is by boat from Nunsuch Bay. It’s just 5 minutes away from the point that you get the boat.

There is a good trade wind in Green Island, that blows from the northeast or east. The water is shallow and flat. The temperature of the water is also good during all year and is about 25˚C/77˚F. Kite-surfers may try it during all months of year, except for the period that lasts from July to October. That is because of the hurricanes, making the weather conditions unpredictable. The intensity of the wind averages between 10 knots and 20 knots. The winds are stronger during December and March, something very interesting for more experienced kite-surfers.

Although Green Island is uninhabited, there is a school on the beach, that can offer lessons to all levels of kite-surfers. So, either the beginners can easily enter the world of kite-surfing or the experienced can get helped to achieve the next level.
