Duration:
1.5 - 3 hours
Maasai Mara covers about 1500 km²/579.15 mi² and consists of gently rolling hills, acacia and woodland trees, watered by the Mara and Talek rivers. Landscape at the Mara is stunningly free and abundantly rich in wildlife, allowing for magnificent viewing while trekking primitive paths and trails in the middle of a pure African reality.

Trekking routes normally are adjacent to the Mara Game reserve  and center on the topography, plant life and bird life. Trekking can be arranged for morning hours or evening hours and would range between 1.5 – 3 hours covering a distance of  between 9 – 15 km / 5.5 – 9.3 mi.

For the more adventurous, there are walking safari options where you can explore the wilderness with Maasai guides, who will explain their culture. Uncertainty of what awaits you as you track the game makes it worth the experience and in most cases, you would have a Maasai local as a tour guide.

Highly recommended to be physically fit to take this trekking expedition and children below 10 years old are prohibited.
