The event is taking place in the white waters of Passer River that flows down the Passeier valley and through the town of Merano.
The race begins with the marathon and qualification (Mass start for 6.5 km/4 mi WW class III-IV) where women start first and 2 mins later men and juniors follow. There is also going to be a surprise open race for all those excluded from the final race so stay tuned with King of the Alps news updates!
Besides the competitive part of the event, there will also be many side events for paddlers to enjoy such a participation in kayak courses so as to improve your techniques, guided tours and rafting tours. And don’t forget the wild party after the crowning ceremony of the King and Queen of the Alps.
