At low tide, one can walk out to Salt Island while at high tide one can enjoy body surfing or boogie boards. Lifeguards are on duty Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day from 9:00am to 5:00pm daily. This is a great spot once the conditions are ideal with big waves during winter. In summer, it is not a very crowded place and surf is not allowed during business hours, but no restrictions off season. You should mind the rocks at the bottom.

Close to the city of Gloucester, a very popular destination in summer time, you can find all the hotels and dinning places you need.
