Palm Beach is an exposed beach break that has dependable surf at all stages of the tide. The north side of the beach attracts more experienced surfers. The best tide movement is falling tide. Good wind direction is from the west and the ideal swell direction is from the southeast.
In summer the wind blows offshore at 15%, in autumn the wind blows at 35%, in winter at 50% and in spring at 23%. Surfers can explore the waves with swell sizes from less than 3 ft (1 m) to 10 ft (3 m). This spot can produce excellent waves at any time of the year.
The average water temperature is about 21°C/69.8°F. It is the best place for surfers who hate beach crowds. Watch out for sharks, rips, rocks and buoys.
