Wenatchee is the largest city of Chelan County, located in North Central Washington and lies on the west side of the Columbia River. The city is also known as the Apple Capital of the world, due to the valley's many apple cultivations.

Wenatchee River starts from the Wenatchee Lake and runs down to Columbia River. The river run starts from Leavenworth Town to Monitor. It is 18.6 mi/30 km long, with a class 3 difficulty level for normal flows and range from 2500 to 20000 c.f.s.

The river is fantastic for intermediate and advanced kayak enthusiasts. The run has everything a kayak fan could wish for. When the water is high during spring, you run through big holes, surf waves, eddy’s, a concrete dam, amazing rapids and a huge boulder you have to avoid.

It is also considered to have one of the best play boating runs in Washington. Prepare to get wet in fresh, crystal clear cold water, take your gear with you, or plan an organized river trip and enjoy a fantastic white water kayak experience into the wild nature of Cascades.
