Wenatchee is the largest city of Chelan County, located in North Central Washington and lies on the west side of the Columbia River. The city is also known as the Apple Capital of the world, due to the valley's many apple cultivations.

Icicle Canyon Route is located outside Leavenworth Town, at half an hour away from Wenatchee Town. It is 26 mi/41 km long, out and back, with an elevation gain of 1500 ft/457 m. The difficulty level of this ride is moderate, suitable for all skill levels and the maximum gradient of the terrain is at 8%. The road goes mostly uphill and it is well traveled by cars, so bicyclists should be careful.

Other than that, the route demonstrates no technical difficulties, but is long and a good physical condition is required. There are some nice spots along the way where you can stop and admire the view.
