The Elephant coast is located on the eastern seaboard of South Africa. It stretches along the Indian Ocean in the east, it borders with Mozambique in the north while the south-west lies on the Zululand. The spot offers an easy non strenuous paddling on flat water. The profile is flat water with no rapids and the kayaking trips are normally conducted either early mornings or in the evening because at the middle of the day, the wind can pick up and create waves. Windy months are from August through to September with temperatures high during summer. The trip is normally a guided tour and accommodates both the novice and expert paddlers.
