Longmont is located northeast of the county seat of Boulder, about 31 mi/49.9 km north-northwest of the Colorado state capitol in Denver. It is a home rule municipality in Boulder, Weld Counties in the U.S. state of Colorado.

It is an easy going community only 16 mi/25.8 km away from Boulder. One of the  sports that are very popular in Longmont is mountain biking and one of the best trails to experience is Longmont to Boulder Regional Trail. This trail extends 12 mi/19.3 km between these two main cities and taps into the region’s immense network of trails.

This conduit has a trodden stone surface, best for mountain bikes. The beginning is at Ken Pratt Boulevard in Longmont and follows the Left Hand Creek southwest through residential and commercial areas. There, trail goers can connect with the St. Vrain Greenway trail.

This path goes through lush farmlands, rushing streams and behind of various posh luxury houses close to some city streets.
