Lancelin Ocean Classic is a race unlike any other as it is the longest running and Guinness Book of World Records longest race that takes place in Lancelin Australia on January 14 to 17 and gathers windsurfers, kitesurfers and paddlers in a world class event!

Running since 1986, when a group of windsurfers organised a 25km downwind race from Ledge Point to Lancelin, this coming January in its 31st year, the Lancelin Ocean Classic plans to bring together pros and amateurs from windsurfing, kitesurfing and for the first time athletes from paddling sports too.

Ocean kayakers and stand up paddlers will race along the coastline from Ledge Point to Lancelin for the first time in the event’s history. Another first, is that windsurfers and kitesurfers will be racing side to side, using the event’s improved starting line process.

Additional competitions will be taking place, alongside the challenging 25km race, including windsurfing waves, kitesurfing freestyle and kitesurfing waves.
