Peru or the Republic of Peru is the third largest country in South America, located on the west side of the continent and straddling part of the Andes mountain range. The country is well-known for the ancient city of the Incas, Machu Picchu. It is a remarkable archaeological location and also an UNESCO World Heritage site that attracts visitors from all over the world.

Apart from the fantastic scenery, it has around 33 mountain peaks over 5500 m/18040 ft high and among them is the Huascaran, the highest mountain in Peru. In addition, the location hosts many trekking circuits, including the famous route of Llanganuco-Santa Cruz. There are countless routes to choose from, according to your skills and wishes. So, there is no doubt that Cordillera Blanka is an earthly paradise for trekkers and climbers. Last but not least, Huaraz is a city in Ancash Region, situated at the foot of the Cordillera Blanca mountain range and it is the starting point of your trekking adventure.
