The Cayman Islands are a British Overseas Territory, situated northwest of Jamaica and south of Cuba, in the western Caribbean Sea. The name of the spot derived from the plethora of stunning black corals, which can be found mainly in the canyons. The wall starts at 19 m/62 ft and drops down to 24.4 m/80.1 ft. Divers can follow the wall to see lots of gorgonians, rope sponges and interesting fish life, such as parrot fish, angel fish and butterfly fish. Visibility is good and varies from 10 m/32.8 ft to 30 m/98.4 ft.
Black Forest is suitable for intermediate and advanced divers. The location can be dived all year round, but the best season is from April till October. In addition, the average water temperature is between 24 °C to 27 °C/77 °F to 82 °F. Finally, the island provides many diving centers, where you can rent gear or book an organized dive.
