Lutsen Mountains is one of the most well-known ski areas in the north central Unites States. This large and high ski area, consisting of four mountains, is situated in the rugged Sawtooth Mountains, part of the Superior Highlands on the north shore of Lake Superior. Lutsen Mountains has four mountains, named Ullr, Mystery, Eagle and Moose Mountains.

The ideal vertical drop of 825 ft (251 m) is all you need to exercise the most challenging activity. Lutsen has 90 ac/3.65 m² of terrain with 95 trails.

Beginners can get familiar with alpine skiing on 18% of trails, intermediate skiers can exercise their sport on 47 % of trail and those who are interested in something more extreme, 25% of trails are available. As for those who want to reach their activity at the pinnacle of success, 10% of trails are formed especially for them.

The longest run is 2 mi/3.22 km and the annual snowfall is 9.5 ft/2.89 m. The resort offers 10 lifts in total and a Gondola, which is Mid-America’s Only Gondola/four passengers/Moose Mountain Tramway and the focal point of the resort. There are also 6 passenger Caribou Express/detachable high speed chair, 1 Triple Chair/10th Mountain, 6 Double Chairs/ Ullr, Eagle, Mystery, Bridge, Bull and Timberwolf and 1 Magic Carpet, all of them providing a lift capacity of 10000 riders/hr.
