Afton Alps is a well known ski resort, located along the St. Croix River, just outside Minneapolis and St. Paul, in the northeast corner of Denmark Township, Washington County, south of Afton, Minnesota in the Unites States.

With a skiable area of about 300 ac (1.2 km²) and a vertical drop of 350 ft (110 m), it is sure that you will exercise the best Skiboarding of your life!

In order to have a comfortable and exciting activity, Afton Alps has added a state-of-the-art snowmaking system and a new cutting edge terrain park. The resort offers 48 trails, tailored to cover all levels of ability. For beginners 13 trails are available, for intermediate skiers 27 trails and for experts 7 trails. A ski school with well-skilled instructors is available to help you get familiar with this sport, at any time of the day. In Afton Alps you also find 3 wooden carpets and 18 lifts.

The resort is open seven days a week and its peak season is from October to April. The resort enables you to exercise your favorite sport at night as well. After your activity, you can spend some time in the most impressive cafes, restaurants and accommodations, found in the vicinity.
