Dombay is an urban locality situated in the Karachay-Cherkess Republic, in Russia. The administrative jurisdiction of the resort settlement is the town of republic significance of Karachayevsk. The locality is situated in the Teberda Nature Reserve (Teberdinskiy zapovednik) and is a popular tourist destination.

The reason that Dombay is so popular is due to the existence of an amazing ski resort nearby, the Dombay Ski Resort. Dombay, located on one of the most beautiful mountains of the world, is a unique snowboarding destination, combining perfectly shaped slopes with breathtaking landscapes.

Total number of runs is 12, although it is not 100% sure, as they are not marked. The trails are 2 for novices, 3 for intermediate snowboarders, 4 for advanced and 3 for experts and cover about 20 km/12.8 mi of the terrain.

As for percentage numbers, 35% easy trails, 45% blue trails and 20% black diamond trails. The resort lies at an elevation of 1630 m/5315 ft with the top station placed at 3012 m/9881 ft, creating a vertical drop of 1382 m/4534 ft.
