Sochi is a city situated in the federal subject of Krasnodar Kray, Russia. Its exact location is near the border between Russia and Georgia, on the Black Sea coast. Sochi is known to the entire world, as the 2014 Winter Olympics and Paralympics are about to take place here.

Laura Gazprom Ski Resort is a mountain tourist resort in Sochi, in the Krasnaya Polyana greater area and it stands due to its features. The resort is one of the biggest all season resorts, offering Russian traditions of hospitality at the highest international standards.

The place is served by 6 lifts and has trails spread for all levels. In only 12 minutes, skiers are lifted to the top platform of Psekhako Ridge that sits at an elevation of 1436 m/4711 ft above sea level on a gondola lift, which is capable of transferring 1200 people per hour.

The 15 trails cover a total length of 15 km/9.6 mi with the shortest being 350 m/1148 ft and the longest 2500 m/8202 ft. Levels of difficulty vary and trails are marked as red, blue, green and black. Novices enjoy 2 trails, intermediate skiers 4 trails, advanced skiers 6 trails and experts 3 trails. Five of the trails are illuminated for night skiing.

All the equipment needed is available in the resort for rent or purchase. The ski specialists offer their services, so you can learn how to ski, if you don’t know the basics.
