Moscow is situated in Russia and it is the capital city and the most popular federal subject. It is located on the banks of Moskva River that flows for over 500 km/311 mi right through the East European Plain in central Russia.

If you are looking for a day trip to the Moscow suburbs in one of the best ski resorts, Sorochany is the one for you. It is located about 60 km/37.5 mi from Moscow and is one of the most modernized ski resorts with beautiful surroundings and long ski tracks.

The area is served by a 2 seated chairlift, a 4 seated chairlift, 3×2 local towing cable car and one T-bar lift. The skiing tracks are 12 and they are mostly suitable for advanced and expert skiers.

One trail is for novices, so if you don’t know how to ski, this is the trail to learn from the qualified instructors of the facility. Intermediate skiers have 3 trails to exercise even more and advanced/expert skiers have 4 trails to perfect their technique and tricks.

The facility includes, besides excellent ski features, other amenities such as nice cafes, lockers, sports shop, equipment rentals and repairs and creche/babysitting.

All these make the resort a perfect, one day, skiing destination or even more, if you decide to stay in one of the hotels nearby.
