Rincon, also known as the surfing town, is situated in the Western Coastal Valley, west of Aguada. It is an excellent holiday destination with many attractions and activities on offer. Domes is one of the most popular surfing spots in Puerto Rico.
The beach attracts crowds at any time of the year, especially from November through March, which is the best period for waves. The point-break wave type offers right hand waves and the spot is suitable for experienced surfers. The swell sizes start from 1-1.5 m/3-5 ft and hold up to 2.5 m/8 ft. Offshore winds blow from the southeast and the ideal swell direction is from the north and northwest.
In addition, the best tide movement is rising and falling tides and the ideal tide position is mid and high tide. In summer, the wind blows offshore at 17%, in autumn it blows at 38%, in winter at 32% and in spring at 37%. Finally, there are many surf schools with professional staff and shops to satisfy all your needs, in a short distance drive from the surf site. Note: be careful of localism, urchins and rocks.
