Limassol is located on the south coast of the island, on Akrotiri Bay and is the second largest city in Cyprus. As it has one of the biggest ports in the Mediterranean Sea, the city is rapidly evolving into one of the most important maritime, commerce and tourism destination worldwide.

The climate in the area is Mediterranean, usually with hot and dry summers and mild rainy winters. The hot summer season starts from mid May until mid October with average high temperature of 33 °C /91 °F and sometimes more during heatwaves.

Pissouri Bay is located between Limassol and Paphos and is a beautiful protected cove, with a small sandy beach that offers tranquility and relaxation to its visitors. As the bay is enclosed, the flat water conditions and the west predominant winds that blow almost all summer long, provide to the windsurfing enthusiasts a great spot to enjoy the crystal clear sea and sun.

Windsurfing within the bay is perfect for beginners and for those who want to brush up their skills, especially early in the morning. As the day goes by, the thermal downdraft wind builds up and reaches a speed of up to 16 knots/30 kph and more, ideal for speed windsurfing. For the most advanced windsurfers, windsurfing outside the bay offers small waves and stronger winds.

Pissouri Bay is an excellent spot for those who want to windsurf and relax. There are schools on the beach, where you will find all the necessary gear and book lessons, as well as a beach bar, restrooms and showers.
