Sandwich Bay nestles between Ramsgate and Deal. It is a large, shingle beach, that is popular for the adventure sport lovers, especially for windsurfers. The site accommodates almost any wind direction, although the best wind direction is from the southeast. Intermediate windsurfers are able to explore the waves with swell sizes that can start from less than 1 m/3 ft.

In addition, the water quality is clean with no currents. The optimum period to visit the spot is summer, with the wind speed ranging from 19mph to 25mph. Keep in mind that, you should avoid the north end of the beach, as it is a bird sanctuary. Last but not least, the location provides with facilities, including toilets and a car park with a toll charge.
